The quilt is a traditional patchwork quilt called Clay's Choice. Despite her inability to vote, the 19th century quilter was well aware of the political scene and many of the early quilts reflect the struggles of the times. This quilt was originally named for the great American statesmen Henry Clay. Henry Clay was once asked to judge a quilt contest and a quilt using this block was the winner, hence the title, "Clay's Choice." The quilt pictured measures 14 1/2" x 20 1/2" - but your custom quilt can be created to meet your own personal specifications!
